- ➤ Utility work will cause lane closures on Holmgren Way between Pilgrim Street and Marvelle Lane starting Monday as crews install utility connections for a new apartment complex — one lane in each direction will remain open and delays are expected. - ➤ At Lambeau Field on Sunday, police responded to 17 calls for service during the Packers-Bengals game which the Packers won 27-18 and one person was arrested while three fans were ejected for code of conduct violations. WNCY

- ➤ On Saturday evening, the Green Bay Area Public School District inducted its first Hall of Fame class at Backstage at the Meyer in downtown Green Bay — honoring eight inductees — after more than 50 nominees were considered in the spring. Superintendent Vicki Bayer said the new honor recognizes alumni achievements both locally and abroad. WNCY

- ➤ Industrial technology teacher Chris Glinski received a $50,000 award for boosting skilled trades training at West De Pere High School—he is one of 25 national winners from Harbor Freight Tools for Schools recognized for addressing local workforce gaps. 94.3 Jack FM
- ➤ NWTC announced today that 20 students will benefit from Metallica’s grant program — each eligible for up to $1,000 in scholarships to pursue high-wage careers. The $25,000 grant supports studies in fields such as manufacturing, health care, human services, construction, IT, and transportation. WNCY
- ➤ At an Oct 13 meeting, the Green Bay School Board took steps to request proposals for metal detectors, update behavior policies and consider a new backpack requirement—measures aimed at long-term safety after a September weapons incident.
