- ➤ Green Bay Housing Partnership started a new plan to boost affordable home ownership using a community land trust on land donated by JBS Foods between Guns and Lime Kiln Roads; Mayor Eric Genrich—working with NeighborWorks Green Bay CEO Noel Halvorsen—said the project will help middle-income families meet income requirements set below 120% of the median. 94.3 Jack FM
- ➤ Green Bay will host many events this weekend — fall festivals at the Botanical Garden and Adventure Park, Oktoberfest at Stillmank and Titletown, and UW-Green Bay women's volleyball games on Sept. 26 and Sept. 27, featuring special promotions for staff, alumni, and fans. - ➤ Brown County United Way invested $150,000 to help Howe Elementary Community School and Nicolet Elementary Community School expand services for more than 700 students from 4K through 5th grade in Green Bay—funds that will boost meals, health services, and family engagement. The reinvestment, announced on Wednesday, will improve student supports—helping families and staff strengthen attendance and academic aid. 94.3 Jack FM

- ➤ WisDOT introduced a new billboard along I-41 on September 23 to boost work zone safety after more than 10,000 crashes in five years—DOT worker Robert Ritter urged drivers to slow down, plan ahead, and use real-time updates to protect construction crews. Officials and the Wisconsin State Patrol stressed that every driver must avoid distractions in active work zones. 94.3 Jack FM
- ➤ At the Sept. 23 meeting, the Personnel Committee discussed raising the next mayor’s base salary from $102,298 to between $128,547 and $165,000—some members proposed $140,000 while others, including council member Jennifer Grant, argued it was too high for a city of 105,000.
