- ➤ The Hobart village board postponed its vote on a new municipal center until Oct. 1 because one board member joined the meeting by phone from a business trip, and board president Richard Heidel said full attendance is needed for community confidence. The plan would use the new center to house the police, village administration, and public works by buying a centrally located property for $6.2 million — some residents have expressed concern over the metrics provided.
