- ➤ Cellcom in Green Bay has experienced a voice and SMS outage since late May 14 and is working to restore full service. Emergency 911 calls remain available while data services like Apple iMessage and RCS messaging continue to work—leaving customers able to communicate. Green Bay Press-Gazette
- ➤ The Green Bay Packers sponsored mentor—protégé program celebrated its 14th year with an awards event at Lambeau Field on May 15, recognizing mentors and upcoming business leaders for their role in creating jobs and driving economic growth in Wisconsin. The program has helped create more than 431 jobs and increased revenue by $107.3 million while supporting minority, veteran, and woman-owned businesses. FOX 11

- ➤ The All-American Rejects performed a pop-up concert on the UW-Green Bay campus on May 14 — offering fans an energetic show that brought the venue to life. Green Bay Press-Gazette
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ UW Green Bay and Lakeshore College announced the FORWARD program to help local students start nursing careers near home this fall—informational sessions are scheduled for May 19th at UWGB Sheboygan Campus, May 21st at Lakeshore College’s Center for Health Care Excellence, June 10th at UWGB Sheboygan Campus, and a virtual session on June 18th. - ➤ St. Norbert College will hold its 126th Commencement on May 18th at 2:00 p.m. in the Mulva Family Fitness and Sports Center on campus (408 undergraduate and 20 graduate degrees will be awarded). The college will honor 222 students with honors (from a class representing 19 states and five countries). Green Bay News Network
- ➤ University of Wisconsin-Green Bay will award 1,338 graduates with their degrees in two ceremonies tomorrow (9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.) at the Kress Events Center; this largest graduating class ever is expected to strengthen the local workforce as over 70% of alumni stay in the region. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Green Bay Police Department dive team completed a five-day training course on swiftwater rescues yesterday—this hands-on course included real water simulations for victim rescue, self-rescue, and proper use of specialized equipment during floods and other emergencies. The team is now better prepared to support mutual aid requests across the region. FOX 11
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Green Bay Packers released their 2025—26 schedule and fans are busy planning for tough games like the home opener against the defending division champion Detroit Lions while some expect a strong season. In his final schedule release after 17 years as CEO, Mark Murphy said he is optimistic and the team is set for success. WNCY
- ➤ Green Bay Packers released their full 2025-26 schedule with the first regular season game on September 7 at 3:25 p.m. on CBS against the Lions at home—this is the first time since 2018 they will open at home—and also set games including a Thanksgiving matchup and at least four primetime contests. The team will host eight games at Lambeau Field and play nine times on the road as they face several playoff-caliber teams this season. WNCY
