- ➤ On Saturday, indigenous community members from the Oneida Nation walked 1.5 miles from the Oneida Tribe Civic Center to the Oneida Nation Turtle Elementary School to honor those lost to violence. Participants wore red with handprints on their mouths—symbolizing the over 6,000 missing or murdered indigenous people whose voices have been silenced. WBAY

- ➤ Deacon Nicholas Stellpflug witnessed white smoke from St. Peter’s Square on May 8th when Pope Leo XIV was elected, and he said the moment gave great hope as the diocese now has two dozen men in various stages of priesthood—nearly double the number from seven years ago. Fr. Mark Mleziva said the pope’s Midwest ties may inspire more locals to answer the call to serve. 94.3 Jack FM
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Students at UW-Green Bay have started a petition to end the extra $25 per credit fee for online classes after paying an extra $300, and they have gathered 664 signatures so far. UWGB Chancellor Mike Alexander said the fee dates back to the 1990s and the university is working with the UW system to either remove it or offer more in-person options & students want more affordable choices. 94.3 Jack FM
