COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Six major Powerball wins were reported on Wednesday night in Wisconsin. Four $1 million prizes were won with tickets from Pulaski, De Pere, Kaukauna, and OakCreek, while Hurley and Sparta saw two $2 million wins.  FOX 11
  • The Wisconsin Humane Society is set to receive 150 beagles from Ridglan Farms mid-May as part of a national effort to rehome 1,500 research dogs. Some will be available for adoption in Green Bay after passing evaluations (spaying/neutering, microchipping and vaccinations).  NBC 26

EDUCATION NEWS

  • UW-Green Bay announced a statewide transfer agreement on April 27 that lets eligible technical college graduates transfer 60 credits into its Education major starting Fall.   • The Green Bay Public Market project will get only $168,700 in state funds instead of the $2 million requested — project leaders plan to adjust construction while tackling the funding gap. They remain confident the market will open by the end of 2027.  94.3 Jack FM

HEALTH NEWS

  • The new Green Bay Learning Center for children with autism opened Thursday at the I-43 Business Center (3189 Voyager Drive) and will offer ABA therapy for up to 50 kids ages 18 months to six years, expanding WEAP’s services on the east side.  FOX 11
