- ➤ The NEW Zoo and Adventure Park held its first Bring Your Dog to the Zoo event Monday evening (3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.) giving local dog lovers a safe outing with special guidelines and a small gift at entry. WBAY
- ➤ Today, Lombardi Avenue is closed from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. for railroad crossing repairs on Ashland Avenue while Webster Avenue is closed from 7 a.m. today to 7 a.m. tomorrow for water line installation. A public meeting on the Lawrence intersection reconstruction is set for Wednesday at Town Hall. NBC 26
- ➤ Green Bay’s Shipyard District unveiled new benches and bins along South Broadway from the 700-block to the 1300-block on Sunday, April 26. The improvements, funded by American Rescue Plan Act funds allocated in 2022 and shaped during 2025 public workshops, were dedicated to former business owner Jim Piontek. 94.3 Jack FM

- ➤ UW‑Green Bay will host the Academic Excellence Symposium tomorrow, April 29 from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. at the Cofrin Library’s third floor, where attendees can view student projects addressing healthcare, sustainability, and workforce challenges. UW-Green Bay
- ➤ Manohar Singh was inaugurated as chancellor of UW-Oshkosh on Friday, Apr. 24. He replaced Andrew Leavitt and spoke about his journey from a first-generation college graduate to a leader in higher education after holding roles at several universities. WTAQ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Most federal housing grants for Newcap have been transferred to other agencies; however, one grant affecting 17 families across several counties remains unrenewed — the state agency has contacted HUD for clarification — and further details are expected. WTAQ
- ➤ S. Grandview Road between Courier Road and Catalina Drive remains closed due to a bridge issue after recent heavy rain — engineers are assessing damage to decide on repairs. Officials do not have a reopening timeline and advise drivers to use alternate routes. 94.3 Jack FM
- ➤ A state agency confirmed nearly all federal housing grants planned for Newcap have transferred except one affecting 17 families, and it has reached out to HUD for an update. Newcap ceased operations amid allegations of misuse and filed for bankruptcy, risking homelessness for many before agencies stepped in. 94.3 Jack FM
