- ➤ A readers’ poll found that Allouez Avenue is Brown County’s worst road with 132 votes, narrowly edging out Shawano Avenue’s 130 votes. Green Bay will repave a section of Shawano Avenue soon to address winter damage. Green Bay Press-Gazette
- ➤ Renderings show that the renovated Central Library will combine Brown County Library, ADRC services, and a job center along with the Grounded Cafe addition at Pine Street and Monroe Avenue—featuring a resource suite with a computer lab, meeting rooms, and a children’s library to serve community needs. - ➤ Country singer Chris Lane will launch the Titletown Summer Fun Days series with a free concert on June 6 at 8:30 p.m. on the west side of Emplify Health Field in Ashwaubenon (pre-concert activities begin at 3 p.m. with a mini night market and dance lessons). 94.3 Jack FM
- ➤ Local playwright Tristian Schuh’s new play Reunion will be staged by Theatre on the Bay at Bayshore Arts Center from May 28-31; directed by Travis Meyer + featuring local actors Autumn Lake, Corbin Cody and Chris Weber, tickets are available online and at the cashless box office on Wednesdays. - ➤ On April 22, three ag teachers from Brown, Dodge and Rock counties were honored with the Herb Kohl Teacher Fellowship Award for excellence in ag education. Dan Robinson from Lomira, Tjark Sattler from Parkview and Rachel Ziegler from Southwest were recognized + praised for preparing students for modern ag careers. Green Bay Press-Gazette
- ➤ On April 21, four elementary schools in the Green Bay area were honored as Schools of Recognition by the Department of Public Instruction—Dickinson and Susie C. Altmayer Elementary in De Pere received high achieving honors while Chappell and Lincoln Elementary in Green Bay were recognized as high impact schools. Green Bay Press-Gazette

- ➤ Green Bay launched the Neighbors for Nature program on Earth Day, offering 300 free native plant kits to 600 residents to boost pollinators and reduce flooding. Kit winners pick up at Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary on May 15, 22, or 23. WBAY
- ➤ The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources asks anglers in Green Bay to report tagged walleyes to help study fish populations, with red tags offering a $100 reward. Anglers can email, call, or mail details + provide a photo if releasing a fish with a reward tag. 94.3 Jack FM
- ➤ Green Bay students, Brown County Parks staff and Aldo Leopold Community School teachers planted trees along the Fox River Trail on Wednesday to mark Earth Day. The event promoted environmental stewardship (a long-standing local tradition) and aimed to enhance Green Bay’s green spaces. FOX 11

- ➤ Green Bay City Council gave initial approval for county plans to redevelop the library and add a parking lot at the former Bank Mutual site — a step to improve elderly access and support downtown growth while staff prepare details for a future agreement. Green Bay Press-Gazette
- ➤ The common council approved a trial premium parking fee of $7 for 69 spaces adjacent to Bay Beach’s main ticket booth—set to start next season using the Passport Parking program to help fund parking lot improvements while keeping most stalls free. 94.3 Jack FM
