EDUCATION NEWS

  • Students at Pulaski High School continue the legacy of Pulaski News – the nation’s longest-running student community paper that started nearly 84 years ago during the Great Depression. The paper connects a 4,000-person community with local stories and builds strong journalistic skills among its reporters.  FOX 11
  • St. Norbert College announced its Pennings Promise Plan to cover the remaining tuition for eligible high school graduates from local Catholic schools after federal, state, and outside grants are applied. The college also increased its annual Catholic High School Scholarship from $2,000 to $6,000 to further support local Catholic education.  Green Bay News Network
  • Michael Trimberger, a finalist for Green Bay schools superintendent, introduced himself at a community meet-and-greet today (attended by local families) and shared his vision for the district.  Green Bay Press-Gazette
  • State lawmakers are considering a bill that would ban cell phones for the entire school day to help reduce distractions and support student mental health. The new rule passed the Assembly and if approved by the Senate will go into effect by the 2027-28 school year.  WNCY

  • Residents in Morgan raised concerns about NextEra's plan for a 1,000-acre solar panel project during a public hearing held Thursday — they worried about farmland use and potential data center development nearby.  WBAY
